Apprenticeship Overview

This pathway is ideal for office-based professionals who are beginning to take on leadership responsibilities or support team performance. Alongside the core Business Administrator apprenticeship, learners will build leadership capability, develop organisational awareness and gain practical skills in areas such as stakeholder management and project delivery, enabling them to effectively support team success and progress into supervisory or first line management roles.

Who Is This Apprenticeship For?

This apprenticeship is ideal for individuals who are working in administrative roles or looking to start a career in business administration. It’s suitable for those who want to develop their skills and understanding of business operations, management support, and project delivery. This apprenticeship provides the foundational skills necessary for progression into more senior business support or management roles.

Learners Will

  • Be assigned a qualified tutor for one-to-one mentoring, with visits every 4-6 weeks
  • Engage in a blended learning approach combining online learning, workshops, and on-the-job training
  • Complete a minimum of 6 hours of study per week, including coursework and practical activities
  • Gain hands-on experience in business administration tasks, including stakeholder management and project support

  2. Level 3 Certificate
  3. Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English (if required)

The Apprenticeship Journey

This apprenticeship follows a blended learning approach, combining face-to-face tutorials, online learning, and practical experience in the workplace. Learners will receive ongoing support from a qualified tutor who will guide them through various modules covering business administration, project management, and organisational skills. The apprenticeship includes at least 6 hours of protected study time per week, during which learners will complete formal assessments and portfolio tasks. This programme ensures that learners develop a well-rounded understanding of business operations and how to support effective management practices.

End Point Assessment (EPA)

The final assessment for this apprenticeship includes:

  1. Portfolio Based Interview: An interview where learners present evidence of their work and demonstrate their learning throughout the apprenticeship.
  2. Project/Improvement Presentation: Learners will present a project or business improvement initiative they have worked on, showcasing their understanding of the apprenticeship content.
  3. Knowledge Test: A test covering key topics such as regulations, business fundamentals, and project management principles.
