Early Years Tutor

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Early Years professional to join our Early Years Delivery Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about developing others within the sector and ready to take the next step in their career. 

This field-based role will involve regular travel to nursery settings. Candidates must be able to travel within approximately 1 hour of their home location. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferential due to the commuting between nursery settings. 

This role is ideal for an experienced practitioner who enjoys working both independently and collaboratively, and who is committed to maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and assessment. 

What you'll be doing:

You will be responsible for planning, supporting and delivering high-quality, individualised learning programmes to learners undertaking Early Years qualifications. Delivery will take place through a blended approach, including face-to-face visits within your designated area and online sessions. 

You will support learners throughout their qualification journey, providing guidance, coaching and constructive feedback to enable them to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required within the Early Years sector. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • ​Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality learning and assessment sessions (face-to-face and online) 
  • ​Conduct workplace observations and provide constructive, developmental feedback 
  • ​Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate, compliant documentation 
  • ​Provide tailored support to meet individual learner needs 
  • ​Work collaboratively with employers and learners  
  • ​Promote equality, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of delivery 
  • ​Support learners to achieve timely success and maximise their full potential

Qualifications & Experience 

Essential: 

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years 
  • Level 2 maths and English qualifications (or equivalent) 
  • At least 3 years’ experience working within the Early Years sector  
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a senior role, i.e. Room Leader, Deputy Manager, Manager 
  • Strong knowledge of current Early Years framework, legislation and best practice 
  • Excellent organisational, communication and time-management skills 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider delivery team 

 

An assessor qualification is not required at the point of application. We are committed to supporting the successful candidate to achieve a recognised assessor qualification as part of their professional development.
