The Level 2 Trade Supplier Apprenticeship is designed for individuals entering roles in trade businesses, where they will support local tradespeople with design, ordering, purchasing, and delivery for trade jobs. The apprenticeship covers a broad range of skills in areas such as sales, purchasing, account management, logistics, and administration. It is delivered through a blended learning approach, combining face-to-face tutorials, remote workshops, online learning resources, and work-based learning.

Funding Options

  • Levy employers: £4,000
  • Non-levy employers: £200

Who Is This Apprenticeship For?

This apprenticeship is perfect for individuals new to the trade supplier industry or those looking to formalise their experience in roles related to trade sales, warehousing, logistics, and customer service. It’s ideal for those who wish to specialise in trade business operations and support roles, including depot operatives or customer service representatives.

Learners Will

  • Receive personalised support through one-to-one visits every 4-6 weeks
  • Complete online learning modules and e-learning resources
  • Participate in additional in-house training or job shadowing arranged by their employer
  • Dedicate at least 6 hours of study per week to achieve the apprenticeship requirements
  • Be assessed through practical demonstrations, discussions, and knowledge tests

The Apprenticeship Journey

This apprenticeship combines face-to-face tutorials, remote workshops, online learning modules, and practical work-based experience. Learners will receive support from a dedicated tutor and complete a variety of online learning modules to develop a deep understanding of warehousing, customer service, and logistics. Learners must dedicate at least 6 hours per week to study and coursework to meet the apprenticeship’s requirements.

End Point Assessment (EPA)

The final assessment for this apprenticeship includes:

  1. Knowledge Test: A test consisting of 15 multiple-choice questions and 5 short-answer questions to assess the knowledge acquired during the apprenticeship.
  2. Real Life Practical Observation: A 3-hour assessment in the apprentice’s workplace to demonstrate practical skills and knowledge in the trade supplier process.
  3. Professional Discussion: A 60-minute discussion with an independent assessor, focusing on the knowledge, skills, and behaviours developed during the apprenticeship
