This is a varied role within Learning and Development whereby you will be exposed to different aspects of the business, this is a great opportunity working in a small busy varied team.

To provide a professional and customer focused administration service to support the delivery of Learning & Development for the Wates Group.


Main Responsibilities

  • To ensure a professional, accurate and customer focused service is provided in the delivery of learning and development to support business needs.
  • To provide appropriate administration on a weekly basis for upcoming courses including registers, feedback forms, lunch bookings and room set up.
  • Support the L&D team with administration & coordination for L&D projects as required.
  • Maintain accurate records for all workshop attendance or  non-attendance on the appropriate system eg I-Trent, Mosaic.
  • To monitor upcoming course numbers by chasing non-responses on a weekly basis.
  • To prepare for upcoming  training courses  by printing course materials  and couriering where necessary.
  • To help the team monitor the central Learning & Development Mailbox , answering general enquiries, ensuring that SLA’s are met.
  • Assist with the booking of external courses approved for purchase.
  • To take ownership for training certificates ensuring they are logged accurately and sent out to the individual after the training has been completed.
  • To support the Early Careers team with the preparation for events such as Trainee Assessment Centres & Careers Fairs held throughout the year

Monday -Thursday, 9.00am – 5.30pm and Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm


Knowledge and Skills

  • Previous administration experience
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities
  • Strong in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills 

Qualifications Required:​
GCSEs, A-C in Maths and English or equivalent 


Qualification Structure:
Successful candidate will be provided with the opportunity to complete a fully certified Advanced Apprenticeship in Business Administration, which will cover the following frame work:

  • BTEC Level 3 in Business Administration
  • Employers Rights and Responsibilities
  • Functional Skills in ICT, Math and English
  • Personal Learning and Thinking Skills

Duration: 18 months
