Lead Internal Quality Assurer

Based in London, we specialise in work based and vocational training across the Business Admin, Childcare, Warehousing, Team Leading and Management sectors.

We are looking for an experienced Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) to lead a team of internal quality assurers to support the achievement of quality teaching and learning. As an Ofsted outstanding training provider, we are looking for a highly motivated individual to drive performance and quality within our Learning and Development team.

The role

As the Lead IQA you will be responsible for the delivery of high quality teaching and learning through the provision of a robust IQA process. You will lead, motivate and develop a team of IQAs across both the generic (business) and childcare sectors to ensure high quality delivery and the maintenance of an outstanding provision.

You will provide guidance and support to tutors regarding their learning and assessment practices; to ensure learners receive the highest quality learning provision in line with Hawk standards. You will design the appropriate learner curriculums for a variety of qualifications across the sectors in which we deliver; whilst managing the IQA process, sampling strategy and compliance procedures.

As the lead IQA you will prepare and host the External Quality Assurer visits; reporting and disseminating sector and awarding organisation developments to the Learning and Development team.

You will also work closely with our Head of Programmes to design and launch any new/changes to apprenticeship standards and programmes. You will be responsible for delivering qualifications to IQAs and tutors, as well as planning and providing necessary training.

The role is field-based across the pan-London sector, with regular travel into the office in Twickenham for standardisation and team days. The skills set & experience:

  • Assessing qualification (essential)
  • Internal Quality Assurer / Internal Verifier qualification (essential)
  • Management qualification (desirable)
  • Extensive experience delivering work based learning / accredited qualifications in at least two of the following sectors (Warehousing and Storage, Business Administration, Childcare, Leadership and Management, IT) (essential)
  • 2 years’ experience of managing and leading a team at mid-management level within a target driven environment. (essential)

The ideal candidate will have a proven background as an Internal Verifier / Quality Assurer across a range of industries which may include; Business Administration, Team Leading and Management, Warehousing or Childcare.
