Gerald Eve are looking for a motivated and organised individual to join the team and work towards their Business Administration NVQ Level 2.

This role would work across a number of surveying departments, as well as our Planning and Development team.

The main responsibilities include:

  • ·        Creating and updating documents.
  • ·        Updating relevant databases.
  • ·        Completing photocopying, printing, scanning and binding as and when requested.
  • ·        Carrying out filing for team members, including archiving and retrieving archived files for fee earners.
  • ·        Copying CDs and scanning work to the department’s computer drive.
  • ·        Assisting the Department Administrator with any general administrative duties as and when instructed.
  • ·        General administrative tasks as set out by your manager

Desired skills: 

  • Good organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • A positive and proactive individual, with a can-do attitude.
  • Good written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.

Qualifications Required:​

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths are desired.

Personal Qualities:  

  • Friendly and polite
  • Good levels of customer service 
  • Driven and motivated

Future prospects:

Possible full time employment on completion of apprenticeship

Things to consider: 

The normal hours of work for this position are 0900hrs to 1730hrs, Monday to Friday, with 1hr 15mins lunch. This position also involves out of hours working on an ‘as necessary’ basis.

Qualification Structure:

Successful candidate will be provided with the opportunity to complete a fully certified Intermediate Apprenticeship in Business Administration, which will cover the following frame work:

BTEC Level 2 in Business Administration
Employers Rights and Responsibilities
Functional Skills in ICT, Math and English
Personal Learning and Thinking Skills

Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage:
This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
The National Minimum Wage (NMW) for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour.
